Dr. Nancy Reau is a distinguished transplant hepatologist and a leading authority in liver disease management. She currently serves as the Richard B. Capps Chair of Hepatology, Section Chief of Hepatology, and Associate Director of Solid Organ Transplantation at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Reau earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she also completed her residency and a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology. She further specialized with an advanced transplant hepatology fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Reau specializes in managing complex liver conditions, including hepatitis B and C, liver cancer, fatty liver disease, and liver transplantation. Her research interests encompass viral hepatitis, liver transplantation, and complications of chronic liver disease. She has authored or coauthored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles published in journals such as Hepatology, Hepatitis Research and Treatment, and Clinics in Liver Disease.
